Dearly Beloved,
There is an unfathomable Volume of Life concealed in
every inspired scripture and I doubt if we can afford not to ‘wrestle with the
Lord’ to receive Mercy and Grace to trade our humanity for His divinity and in
doing so, I hope to pay homage to what Eph. 4:17-18 has to say about the
above subject
i.e.
…walk not as other
Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind, having the understanding darkened,
being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them,
BECAUSE OF THE BLINDNESS OF THEIR HEART…
Apostle Paul must have perceived that the
Ephesians Church would become a victim of an assumption that has become a norm
today, one of equating the New Birth/Conventional Church Going/’Bible
Believing’ Experience with Walking with The Lord, so he began to confront their
hearts with an understanding that the dividend of their previous walk in the
course/wisdom of this world had left their souls with a degraded nature that
the New Birth Experience couldn’t address. He told them a hard truth, “There
Is Hardly Any Spiritual Growth Without Understanding Why & How Satan
Trimmed Down The ‘Life of God That once Resided In The Souls of Men’ before men
were reduced to flesh. (Eph. 2:2/Rom.
5:14/Gen. 6:3/12).
Apostle
Paul was therefore illustrating why the Lord Jesus earlier christened the
‘fallen life’ that Christians once ‘married’ before coming to Him as ‘Darkness’
and he tried to reveal why ‘that life’ was the light/wisdom through which Satan
exalted Things Created/The Ephemeral above The Creature/Things
Eternal. He therefore exposed Satan’s snare that effortlessly gets
believers to trade their birthright (Spiritual Inheritance) for ‘morsels of
bread’ like Esau did.
(1 Pet. 1:4/Eph. 1:14/18)
Apostle Paul knew many saints would find it hard to come to terms
with the Gravity of What They Lost In The First Adam after falling short
of fellowship with The Tree of Life so he was challenging them to
open their hearts to the commission of Recovering of Sight To Those who are
Born Again but assume that initial experience has dealt with the Blindness that
came upon men after the fall. (Lk. 4:12/Acts 26:18).
He also knew that like the Lord’s disciples of old, many saints would
return from following him if He chooses to suddenly wean them from the initial
course called The Milk of The Word where the excitement of believers is
traceable to God’s ability to meet their earthly needs and not His ability to
give them what he has never shared with those who haven’t had an Intimate
Knowledge of Him, so he was challenging them to deal with the blindness that
could only be treated when The Eyes of their Understanding is Enlightened
so that they can experience Revelation of His Will and Grow in Grace. (Jn. 8:31/Isa.
28:9/Job 13:15/2 Pet. 3:18)
He
therefore confirmed to posterity that ‘a believers would ‘make heaven’ once
such fulfill and retain their new birth status but warned against the
prevalent lackadaisical attitude in believers that ignores the individual task
of dealing with blindness that accompanied the previous rapport/walk of
believers with The Wisdom/Principles of The World! Apostle Paul was trying to
illustrate to them, the design of ‘The Faith Life’ as the only antidote
to Finishing their Course Strong! (Jn. 3:3/2 Tim. 4:7/Eph. 3:9).
Interestingly, Peter seconded Paul’s motion
in 2 pet. 1:9 by stipulating some of recipe that we need in journeying to deal
with this blindness. This is a knowledge that transpires from the place of
Intimacy with The Lord where the Lord ‘impregnates’ the Soul with Truth
Substances for A WALK BEYOND CONVENTIONAL CHRISTIANITY! (2 Pet. 1:5-7/Ps. 19:14/Matt. 25:12/Lk. 13:27/3 Jn.
1:3/1:12)
No
wonder God had to define the timeframe between which a saint initially Sights
The Kingdom
(New Birth Experience) and
when such graciously continues in the art of Laying Down His Life daily until An
Entrance into The Kingdom is administered as THE SALVATION OF
THE SOUL. (Jn. 3:3/Jn. 15:13/Matt. 10:39/Lk. 9:23/Jn. 15:13/1 Cor.
15:31/2 Pet. 1:11/2 Pet. 1:9).
A clue to this in the Old testament is
confirmed by Moses, a man heavily anointed and mightily used by God who only Sighted
The promised land (a type of ‘The kingdom/REST’ in the old testament) but never
ENTERED it because he had gotten to a realm where PROMPT AND COMPLETE
OBEDIENCE was in high demand, A REALM OF WALKING CIRCUMSPECT AS ‘A SON’ AND
NOT AS A CHILD OF GOD WOULD’! Scripture gives us this account so that we,
unto whom the end of the age has come would be ‘without excuse’. (1 Cor.
10:11/2 Cor. 10:6/Rom. 1:20/Rom. 2:1).
The
Lord desires to deal with The Nature that made Moses to err that still resides
in many of us, one that resides deep in the Soul and it must be dealt with by A Wisdom Concealed In The Epistles, a prescription that would enable the Saints
to complete their Walk With God.
Those who respond to the call and demand of Grace to deal with any Carnal
Soul-State before they meet with the Lord face-to-face are those who
actually Labour to Enter into Their REST/Spiritual Inheritance. (Matt. 11:28/Jn.
6:27/1 Cor. 3:8/1 Cor. 15:12/2 Cor. 5:9/Col. 3:24/Heb. 4:11/Heb. 11:8). Selah!
