Man was originally destined by God to bear
his invisible image, but the first man fell short of this exalted calling
through his adventure with the trinity of this world i.e. lust of the flesh,
lust of the eyes and the pride of life. Successive generations of men followed
this path of despising the provision of God’s civilization called faith and
falsely profited with disobedience until man degenerated into a state called
flesh. (Genesis 6:3/Isa. 40:6)
Man remained without strength and the best
of mankind became lighter than vanity (Rom. 5:6/Ps. 62:9). But through the
richness of God’s mercy, the person of the Word was made flesh, God’s only
begotten son was offered as a sacrificial lamb and the reign of sin and death
was arrested. Eternity successfully interrupted time, which was later
calibrated as B.C and A.D.
Today, humanity continues to be blessed by
the great provisions guaranteed by the complete obedience of the Lord Jesus.
Through him, we can expressly see the image of the Father (Jn.
14:9d/Heb. 1:3) and be conformed thereby.
Seasons
of the Spirit continue to unfold, because the image of the Son MUST be
reproduced among those destined to be as saved as God has ordained us to
be. Many Christ-like natured lambs would soon be born (Jn. 3:5/1Pet. 1:23/Rev.
14:1), so the Father and Son would finally have an abiding place among the meek
of the earth (Isa. 66:1-2/Matt. 5:3-11/Jn. 14:23/Heb. 2:10-12)
You are hereby invited to this great banquet where the
father will be feasting his saints with what he once blessed his Son and the
early apostles with.
