Dearly Beloved,
Welcome to a New Year that is pregnant
with new definitions and experiences of newness; a year where
many would be given a unique opportunity to know much more of heaven than many
of those who have hitherto gotten there, a year where the Lord has earmarked
that many should come up and fellowship with what makes heaven – heaven indeed;
i.e. the throne of God and of the Lamb, and that is exciting!
In 2016, God enabled us to nurse
expectations of the righteous - Life and Peace (Prov.
23:18/Jer. 29:11/Mal. 2:5/Rom. 8:6b). We were not ashamed to invest our
minds on spiritual things and that made 2016 peculiar - not just in our sight
but in the sight of God! Some believers somehow could only caress
the life of Christ, but not a few known and unknown believing believers
fought and made strategic acquisitions of Divine Life in 2016. 2017 would therefore
be hosting much more qualitative visitations of the Spirit of the Lord and we
would do well to get our expectations right. The voltage of light,
life and love would increase tremendously and the Lord would open
up the Holy Scriptures to us in unsearchable ways.
As far as God is concerned and as far as His adversary of
old is, many conversations under the sun, most of what the media would transmit
in 2017 would not be new under the sun (Eccl. 1:9/2:14). The sun knows when new
and enduring things kiss and/or evolve from the earth (Ps. 85:11/Titus 2:13),
because the true church would always be involved in the receiving and delivery
of such.
So most happenings would be news to most men and to the
media, but as long as it doesn’t cut across time or replenish the earth, it is
not new to the man God was referring to in Gen. 1:27 – to those pressing
into that God’s image and likeness! New things emanate from a far country
(i.e. God’s kingdom - Prov. 25:25/Matt. 21:33/25:14/Heb. 11:10/14); they are
usually authoritatively proclaimed by angels or declared in wisdom by men (Lk.
2:13-14/1Cor. 2:6). They also affect the genetics of men’s soul and the loins
of posterity – and we would do well to watch out for such in 2017 and beyond!

Things that are truly new have two
common denominators – they share in God’s purpose and they are
received via customized learning experiences that always end up raising
men to become custodians of the future civilization of truth (Jn.
16:13h).
So most of the transactions of the earth this year that
would earn the attention of angels (ministering spirits - Heb. 1:14) won’t be
covered or aired by CNN, Sky News, BBC News etc, because like the wind, they
can neither tell the source of such good tidings (i.e. God) nor can they
spectate regarding where it is headed (i.e. God Jn. 3:6/13:3b-c). God’s
breaking news are classified secrets concerning Eternal Salvation and Eternal
Life, they are tools to separate men from men and are strictly for His lovers
(1Cor. 2:9).
- Jn. 3:6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit (i.e. when a natural/carnal soul has been fathered by God, it would become a spirit (Eze. 11:19/36:26/Heb. 12:9c/1Cor. 15:45c). It would defy the gravity of the flesh and journey into his original abode in God (Ps. 90:1/Jn. 14:2-3).
So for some, including my very self,
what would be truly new in 2017 would be the birthing of an ability
to absolutely trust in Eternal Life -
much more than we once trusted in our strength or in this world! In doing so,
some believers would be well positioned in Christ to own vast plots of land
that cannot be valued in monetary terms - to own a land called God (Gen. 17:8/Josh. 13:33/Num. 18:20/ Heb. 11:16), and
by doing so, what most men toil and seek for would begin to come their way -
from this blessed year! The wealth of the gentiles (properties etc) would beg
for their ownership because prophesies like Isaiah 60:1-11 would have
been activated on their behalf!
One characteristic of experiences and
conversations that are truly new is that God would ultimately immortalize it
in time, while those who co-labor with Him to bring such into the flesh
(Rom. 4:1/1Tim. 3:16) always have their names also immortalized,
like we see all throughout the bible – and sparingly today!
Additions of carnal things (i.e. food,
shelter, clothing etc.) comes as a token while seeking righteousness (Matt.
6:33), and aren’t subject to the regulations of earthly economies! They
always come in God’s appointed time, and for not just a few believers this
year, God’s good hand would be uniquely prevailing over their natural affairs
and cares (Isa. 1:19). As such, many believing believers would need a
whole lot of the meekness and gentleness of Christ (2Cor. 10:1) to
faithfully handle it, lest they get distracted and make it a message
contrary to the message (1Jn. 1:1-5).
So the godhead would be employing the lives and lifestyle
of those who are willing and available (Ps. 110:3/Mal. 3:16-18) to convict,
comfort, edify and bless those who are outside the coverage area of Grace and
Peace. Through such company called “few” (Matt. 7:14d), the boast of the world
that says “the promise of righteousness is slack” would be deflated! God would
qualitatively and quantitatively witness to a true saying that “righteousness
offers much more than dividends that men have rightly appraised as
breakthroughs, deliverance, healing and prosperity”. Selah!
May we remain unrepentantly
unrelenting in the seeking, gathering and keeping of
divine life (Prov. 8:35/Rev. 1:3), Amen.
