Dear Beloved,
A man after God’s
heart by name David, paid homage to a raw truth when he declared, “men of high
and low estate would continue to serve vanity
- as long as they haven’t discerned
it, renounced it, ascended unto the hills of the Lord,
and waited upon the him to receive salvation (Ps. 62:9 paraphrased/Ps.
62:1/24:5-6)”.
David was simply
beseeching posterity that we are at the mercy of proportionally expending our
resources - TIME, ENERGY, MONEY, i.e. on things that won’t perish with use (Col.
2:22) and on things that would address our
nature problem. This remains a less costly prescription that should cause
us to break away from the vicious cycle
of the old creation, so we can experience a daily supernatural living that has eluded not
a few "zealous" believers till date.
As we do so, we
would find ourselves gradually graduating from a definition and understanding
of Love called “your love” - found in the first chapter of each of the
epistles, unto a definition and understanding of Love called “God’s Love”; which we have been
admonished to strive after - in the first, second and third books of Apostle
John.
While comparing
spiritual with spiritual in Luke 9:23, Jesus was simply expounding the
prophetic sayings of the prophets and affirming, "when you have 'some of
self', you would by default have 'some of God'. When you have 'all of self',
you would by default have 'none of God'. But like was His case from childhood -
WHEN YOU HAVE 'NONE OF SELF', YOU WOULD BY DEFAULT HAVE 'ALL OF GOD'".
Luke
9:24 For whosoever will save (KEEP) his
life shall lose it - ETERNAL LIFE: but whosoever will LOSE his life for my
sake, the same shall save (GAIN) it - ETERNAL LIFE.
From the above Holy
Scripture, we can deduce that the shortcut to GAINING a SUPERNATURAL
LIVING is by LOOSING or TRADING AWAY what the world has helped
us to brand as “OUR LIFE", and
“Christianity without Christ” continues until we do so. 2Tim. 3:5
The Lord Jesus
manifested and enjoyed so much of the supernatural because HE SUBJECTED HIMSELF TO THE LEADING OF THE SPIRIT! (Rom. 8:14). The
Holy Spirit was responsible for amplifying to him, what the father kept
declaring; things he both HEARD (Jn.
5:30) and SAW (Jn. 5:19), and he did
NOTHING without receiving such
signals.
Jn.
5:19 So Jesus explained, "I tell you
the truth, the Son can DO NOTHING by
himself. He does ONLY what he SEES the Father doing. Whatever the
Father does, the Son also does.
Whenever We Remain
Unconnected To Heaven's Server And Base Stations, We Are At A Hearing Loss And
Are Left With A Religious Form Of “Faith” That Has Form Of Godliness But Denies
The Power To Exercise Dominion Over Sin And Death. 2Tim. 3:5
SEEING
and HEARING are two weights of the
Spirit that should cause OUR SOULS TO BOW TO GOD'S REVEALED WILL, NATURALLY WALK IN THE SPIRIT AND THEREBY DISOBEY DISOBEDIENCE (Eph. 2:2).
Nothing but "ALL OF GOD" would either bring us
"FULNESS OF JOY" or make
us "TURN THE WORLD RIGHT SIDE UP",
and all legitimate distractions that limits our soul state from being finer
than the gold of Ophir (Isa. 13:12) are "FIT FOR THE TRASH".
May we find grace to
appreciate this less costly value system, so we can be crowned with GLORY and HONOR like our Lord Lord and His Holy Apostles were, in the seasons
ahead, Amen
