Dearly
Beloved,
1. It may
interest you to know that Apostle Paul’s job description/commission as
summarized in Acts 26:18 was to deal with the blindness that was created by
man’s unknown enemy and God’s sole enemy. But the most puzzling response to
this from the church (you and I) is the fact that we all assume we have been
healed of this blindness because we have been believers for decades and have carried
out various mighty works/exploits!
2. Apostle Peter for example, once
carried out great exploits without having the issue of blindness dealt with
while he was a disciple (Lk. 10:17) and even during the early stage as an
Apostle of the milk of the word as confirmed by his initial exploits of the
book of Acts (Acts 3:6 etc). His shortcomings in Acts 10:11-16 and Rom. 2:11-12
for example were due to limited spiritual enlightenment. After that blindness
had been healed, we saw an Apostle Paul that wrote epistles with spiritual
contents that neither can ever be reviewed by man nor easily understood by the
professors of this world.
3. It may also interest you to know
that the being we see behind the mirror, i.e. the outward man
(1Pet. 3:3) was not the being that David called being fearfully and wonderfully made (Ps. 139:14a). David was
describing the awesome being called the SOUL, whose singular calling is to Know God, full stop! The soul which was
wisely described as the inward man (Ps.
139:14d/2Cor. 4:16) was later Caught In
A Mysterious Thicket Called Sin, though called to attain the same
glorious/thronic state of the regenerated human spirit, the inner man,
which is the hidden man of the heart (Eph. 3:16/1Pet. 3:4a).
4.
While
we have all manner of dreams, visions and pursuit in life and ministry today,
David’s vision, passion and dream was to become like God (Ps. 17:15), to become
like an unrevealed Christ! Today, we need the help of the seven spirits of the
throne to rightly dissect what he declared in the Psalms. It was David, who
while Making Reference To The Height
From Which Sin Originated And Sin Was Beyond Him, cried in Ps. 25:11 ‘O Lord, Pardon Mine Iniquity; For It Is
Great’!
Ps. 17:15 As for
me, I will behold thy face in righteousness: I shall be satisfied, when I awake, with thy likeness.
5. It was David who in great sincerity made reference to Presumption Sins, which are Shortcomings Higher Than Our Current
Discernment of Sin as evident in our black and white bible prints and as
discouraged through our level of preaching today. Unfortunately, the
extremes of the new creation reality message has limited some believers from
humbly acknowledging that there is a sin problem (1Jn. 1:8) which only the
gracious spiritual provisions of the New Testament can deal with as we selfless
journey to confront such with our very blood/life - Heb. 12:4.
1 Jn. 1:8 If we say that we have no sin, we
deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
Heb.
12:4
Ye have not yet resisted unto blood, striving against sin.
Ps. 19:13 Keep back thy servant also from presumptuous sins; let them not have dominion over me (Rom. 6:14): then
shall I be upright…
Pls
note that some biblically traceable inferences based on previous instructions
on such truths over the years has been personally referenced by me in the following transcribed message to further
collaborate it.
Bless You!
AND SIN BECAME A PERSONAL HISTORY
& TRUE HOLINESS A REALITY – Part 2
· A believer can have a sinful nature but not express it as an act and
such is simply yet to be set free by the truth (Jn. 8:32). We are still lacking
in the experience that made the writer of Hebrews declare in Heb. 7:26 concerning
the Lord that he was ‘SEPARATE FROM SINNERS’
(i.e. distinct from all men that hadn’t been perfected/come into what he
came into). Others go ahead of the realm of having a sinful nature but not expressing it to working out sin, i.e. work iniquity (Matt.
7:23).
1Pet 4:1
Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the
flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin
(i.e.
Paul was a chief pattern of how suffering and salvation from unknown sin go hand in hand – 1Tim. 1:16. So, there is a suffering in the flesh that
would address a believer’s sin problem. Christ epitomized it, Paul followed. We
also must)
Heb. 2:10
For it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in
bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings.
Lk. 1:16 And many of the children of Israel shall he turn to the
Lord their God. 1:17 And he shall go before him in the spirit and power of
Elias, to turn the hearts of the fathers
to the children, and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just; to make ready a people prepared for the
Lord.
Mal. 4:5
Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and
dreadful day of the LORD: 4:6 And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the
children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite
the earth with a curse.
Lk. 1:76
And thou, child, shalt be called the prophet of the Highest: for thou shalt go
before the face of the Lord to prepare his ways; 1:77 TO GIVE KNOWLEDGE
OF SALVATION unto his people by the REMISSION OF THEIR
SINS, 1:78 Through the tender mercy of our God; whereby the
dayspring from on high hath visited us
(i.e. the is a particular kind of
knowledge that would solve the sin problem of a believer)
·
The ways of the Lord is meant to
touch base with the geography of man’s heart
· For John the Baptist to give knowledge that could bring about
salvation, he was a blessed man. Therefore, Lk. 7:28 declared …’among those
that are born of women (i.e. including Moses, Abraham, Elisha) there is not a
greater prophet than John the Baptist…
·
THE
KNOWLEDGE OF SALVATION (i.e. KNOWLEDGE THAT SAVES THE SOUL) IS WHAT WOULD TURN
THE HEARTS OF CHILDREN TO FATHER AND THE DISOBEDIENT TO THE WISDOM OF THE JUST
·
You need to make a man wise to know
the ways of the Lord.
·
The church would not put off sin without a kind of knowledge that saves.
Without a peculiar understanding, sin won’t drop.
·
The Lord remits people’s sin by a
peculiar light that brings salvation. We can see from Jn. 1:77 that John the Baptist
was a teacher of salvation.
Jn.
3:2 Annas and Caiaphas being the high
priests, the word of God (i.e. a
knowledge and authority to teach that which would save them) came unto John the son of Zacharias in
the wilderness. 3:3 And he came into all the country about Jordan, preaching
the baptism of repentance for the remission of sins
·
John had a message. He was teaching
about the remission of sins. The sins of the people were being remitted to
prepare them to receive Jesus. What a ministry! Therefore, to a degree, those
who were under John were cleansed.
· By John’s teaching of the baptism of
repentance, he was higher than Moses because he could move into the hearts of
men and turn such (Lk. 1:16). John was a prophet of knowledge for remission of
sins which was present in the hearts of men.
·
John didn't get people born again but taught people with light. He must have taught
about some light about God’s ways
·
The power of Elias
(Lk. 1:16) was an ability to turn heart from fathers to children and from
children to father
·
The spirit of Elias is the power of
the mantle/authority upon him i.e. everything Elias was doing was according to
something upon him
·
JOHN
USED KNOWLEDGE TO TURN HEARTS AND CREATE WAYS FOR THEM TO RESPOND TO THE LORD
·
Many hearts lack God’s ways. The putting into the heart of a particular
kind of God’s Word, which is the two edged sword (Heb. 4:12) creates a way
meant to ultimately make the Lord come
· IT NOT EVERY KIND OF WORD IN THE BIBLE THAT CAN SAVE THE SOUL. ONLY
THAT WHICH CAN SAVE GOES DIRECTLY TO THE HEART CAN SAVE IT FROM INIQUITY
James 1:21 Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of
naughtiness, and receive with meekness the
engrafted word, which is able to save your souls.
(The
engrafted word here is different from what the church once knew as word of faith that brought about
various earthly victories. It can only be received by a believer that appreciates
meekness/soul salvation)
·
The
book of proverbs was to introduce hearts to a kind of wisdom and enable it
thereby to relate with the ways of God in a measure.
·
When a genuine preacher is unveiling Christ/teaching
his ways (Eph. 4:20), he is removing the worldly ways from the soul and thereby
remitting sins (Jn. 20:23) so that another
way called the way of righteousness can be laid which would limit the
passage/entrance of sin
Jn. 20:23 Whose soever sins ye remit, they are
remitted unto them; and whose soever sins ye retain, they are retained
·
The Lord is therefore so dedicated
to the learning his ways because that is the only way the antidote to sin can
be dispensed
·
GOD KNEW THAT IF
THE CHILDREN OF ISRAEL GETS TO THE LAND OF CANAAN WITHOUT KNOWING HIS WAYS,
THEY WOULD BECOME LIKE THE INHABITANTS OF THAT LAND WHICH WERE HIS ENEMIES, SO
HE DEMANDED THAT THEY LEARN HIS WAYS (1kings 3:14/11:28, Ps. 81:13/95:10)
Ps. 95:10 Forty
years long was I grieved with this generation, and said, It is a people that do err in their HEART, and they have not known MY
WAYS:
Lk. 1:77
To give knowledge of salvation unto
his people by the remission of their
sins
(i.e.
you need to come to a place where you would know how to be saved, know how to receive salvation)
· The spirit of wisdom and revelation (Eph. 1:17-18) is to bring about an
enlightenment that would help remove sin from you. That is the purpose of
Ephesians chapter one, therefore reference of ‘...should be holy and blameless’
in Eph. 1:4 and ‘... forgiveness/remission of sins through his blood in Eph.
1:7. Though believers, they were lacking here)
·
What some call the third day
knowledge is not for us to shine with but for us to KNOW HOW TO BE SAVED, KNOW HOW TO BE SAVED FROM CORRUPTION AND BE KEPT
FROM THE EVIL ONE – 1Jn. 5:18
1Jn. 5:18
We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not (i.e. over destination); but
he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not.
·
You can only learn the ways of God from
the voice of the son which comes by revelation. He is the true speaker of the
house (Heb. 1:2/3:6&15)
Lk. 1:78
Through the tender mercy of our God; whereby the dayspring from on high hath
visited us
(i.e.
If God isn’t merciful, the day spring from on high needed to attend to our
nature problem won’t come. The Lord’s outreach to us is coming from a place that
discerns our shortcomings. The Lord knows that you know nothing about sin, so he
responds to our ignorance through compassion and desires to teach us what is
called wrong doing).
Lk. 1:79
To give light to them that sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide
our feet into the way of peace.
(i.e.
when this kind of light comes, your feet would be positioned for the
preparation of the gospel of peace – Eph.6:15)
·
JOHN
WAS THE LORD’S PROPHET WHILE IN THE FLESH. WHAT WOULD BE THE STATURE OF THOSE
THAT WOULD SPEAK OF THE LORD’S KNOWLEDGE IN THIS END TIME?
· A lot of believers whose sins would
have been remitted would get to heaven with their garments made white (rev.
3:5) i.e. they would have washed their robes in the blood of the lamb (Rev.
7:14). They would have completed their course in the leading of the spirit and
thereby accept this cleansing provision.
Rev. 1:5 And from Jesus
Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the
prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him
that loved us, and WASHED US FROM OUR SINS IN HIS OWN BLOOD
(The actual Kings of the earth are those who have
overcome sin and all that sin represents, not those who just confess it)
·
Suffering
with Christ (2Tim. 2:12) is a peculiar technology of the spirit that teaches us
how to deny ungodliness and shun worldly lusts as taught by the Holy Spirit.
Titus 2:11
For the grace of God (via the spirit of grace – Heb. 10:29) that bringeth
salvation hath appeared to all men, 2:12 teaching us that, denying
ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly,
in this present world (i.e. Jn. 14:26 fulfilled!)
Jn. 14:26 But the
Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he
shall teach you all things, and bring all things to
your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
·
Then
would we understand what Apostle Paul meant in 1Pet 4:1 ….for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath
ceased from sin
· A whole lot are in the ministry today who haven’t discerned what sin is
and therefore don’t live above sin while carrying out ministry. The commission of the New Testament is to
teach men the ways of the Lord and actually remove sins from such within a
short time
